Since my childhood I have always been fascinated by photography and photo editing, following my father’s hobby. Thanks to traveling to exotic places between 2001 and 2008, I realised that I wanted to do more with photography than the traditional ‘holiday pictures’. So I began teaching myself photography on a higher level in 2009, mainly from reading magazines, books and afterwards putting my knowledge into practice techniques. From 2011 till the end of 2014 I’ve been following several photographic training courses. Here I obtained the diploma Digital Photography. During these courses, I also learned to work with Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop.

Although I was still learning all kind of styles and technics I discovered that my main interests were landscape, black & white and aviation photography. Because I’ve always had a keen interest in airplane spotting, aviation photography became one of my passions. As I visited more airshows, air bases and aviation events in 2015 and 2016, I started to specialize myself in military aviation photography. Thanks to the Belgian Air Force I regularly got the opportunity to attend military exercises or military aviation events as a social media photographer. In 2021, I became an official photographer for the Belgian Ministry of Defense and also became one of the photographers for the Belgian military magazine Wings.

In 2023, I was asked for the first time to give a lecture about aviation photography for a photography club after which I gave a whole series of lectures for the Dutch photography retailer Cameranu. After I started specialising in photographing old aircraft in combination with reenactors, I also started organising my own photo shoots in 2023. Having worked with Nikon cameras and lenses for many years, I started in 2024 testing new Nikon cameras and lenses on behalf of the well-known photography magazine Shoot.
